Inside The Brewers Cottage ....
The history of the Highlands follows you inside, where the cottage walls are adorned with fascinating documents relating to Tomich and its founder, Lord Tweedmouth.
After a day of exploring you can retreat to the lounge to warm up by the wood-burning stove, or relax in our leather sofa and reclining chairs with a movie from our DVD collection.
We have set out the dining area and kitchen to be the heart of your stay. Fully equipped with modern essentials including a coffee machine, air fryer, slow cooker, and dishwasher—the space features a dining table perfectly positioned to frame views of the garden and the rolling hills beyond.
For your comfort the ground floor includes a modern wet room featuring a power shower, heated towel rail, and energy-saving underfloor heating.
Upstairs you’ll find two inviting bedrooms—one double and one twin—with all bed linen and towels provided for a seamless stay.
From the maps and local guidebooks in our lobby to the modern comforts in every room the cottage is fully prepared for your Highland escape.
The Garden & Wildlife Sanctuary ....
Step outside into a generous fenced garden framed by a woodland backdrop and sweeping views of the Highland countryside.
We have designed this space as a haven for both guests and nature. With dusk-to-dawn lighting and dedicated feeding zones, you can watch our wild visitors—including badgers and pine martens right from the comfort of the lounge. For a truly unique experience, guests can request access to our Pine Marten nest box camera via a mobile app to see what’s happening inside the nest box. We also provide a wildlife logbook to record your sightings, and while we keep a starter supply of bird and mammal food in the outdoor drying area, we always appreciate guests helping us replenish it.
Adventure-Ready Amenities
Whether you’re here to hike or cycle, we provide a secure, undercover storage area for bikes and a dedicated drying space for wet weather gear and boots. If you fancy a cosy night in, we offer a supply of logs for the wood burner (available for a small honesty donation).
