Four Star Accommodation in the heart of the Scottish Highlands

The cottage ground floor consists of a Entrance Hall leading into a Living Room with a wood burning stove, a two seater leather sofa, two Ikea rocking chairs, T.V/DVD player, and a iPhone docking station. The cottage walls contain many historical documents relating to Tomich and cottage founder Lord Tweedmouth. In addition to these documents are many of the original watercolor paintings which we inherited with the cottage depicting the local area.

The small lobby area has a phone/answer phone for incoming calls only free Wi-Fi, there's also a bookcase with small selection of DVD's, books, maps and local information folders.

The Dining Room / Kitchen comes complete with Electric Oven and Hob, Microwave, Fridge/ Freezer, Filter Coffee Machine and Washing Machine. The dining table has been placed so as to enjoy the views out over the garden and the extensive hills beyond.

The Bathroom also situated on the ground floor offers a bath, a new power shower(over the bath) and W.C. The bathroom comes complete with underfloor heating and heated towel rail.

Upstairs the first floor comprises of one double bedroom and one twin bedroom, bed linen and towels are included. You will also find hair dryer and baby listener in the double bedroom. A travel cot is stored in the twin room, and a safety gate and highchair are stored under the stairs.

Outside offers a generous lawned and fenced garden with a woodland backdrop and extensive views out over the surrounding countryside, garden seating has been provided for you to sit and enjoy the garden and the surrounding landscape. Extra chairs are stored under the stairs. As of October 2016 we have added an outdoor drying area for wet weather clothing & boots this area also doubles up as a undercover bike storage area. 

The introduction of bird feeders to the garden encourages the extensive wildlife the area has to offer, a wildlife logbook has been placed in the cottage to record both garden and local area sightings. Bird food and pet food for the pine martin, foxes, badgers, and hedgehogs can be purchased at the Spar shop in Cannich 4 miles away. Our supply of bird seed is located in the cycle store which we are happy for you to use while stocks last.

Parking for two cars only is available through the gate to the right at the top of the drive, directly outside the front of the cottage. The driveway is shared with the Old Brewery next door. Please keep the gate closed at all times to keep the sheep out.

We welcome well-behaved dogs to a strict maximum of two. A small dog bed, feeding bowls, and a drying towel are provided but please bring your own dog bedding. We politrly request that you do not allow your pets upstairs or on the furniture, and that you do not leave your dog/s unattended in the cottage, please exercise your dog/s off the property and ensure that you clean up after pet in the garden.

We operate a honesty box system for guests to make use our log supply if they so wish. These logs have been sourced, purchased, prepared and seasoned by ourselves as such we are asking £5 per bag. We would like to thank our guests for their honesty and as such have now decide to leave this system in place.


  We have a very limited turn around time on change over day, please help us by vacating at   the stated time and by leaving the cottage as you found it. Your cooperation is very much appreciated.
